About Doc Lauren
Hi there! I am so glad you joined me here on my blog. This is a labor of love and lifetime calling , and I am super excited to share it with you. But first, let me tell you a little bit about me and how and why this blog came to be.
Please don’t call me Dr. Cohen. Lol!
“What?!” I know this may sound funny but it’s true.
I have the education and credential, but truly, I am not attached to the title or the formality. And if you call me Dr. Cohen it may take me a while to realize you are talking to me. Lol! My ear is just not tuned to it.
You can call me Lauren, Dr. Lauren, Doc, Coach, even Hey You, but never Dr. Cohen. Dr. Cohen is some old guy in a white coat and stethescope and that’s just not me.
Doctor, Lawyer or Indian Chief?
I choose “all of the above.” I identify with the true meaning of “Doctor.” It means “Teacher” or “Learned Person.” I am here to partner with you on your journey – to share my wisdom, offer my guidance, provide support, help you find your path, offer my ear to listen, wipe your tears when you are sad, champion you when you are challenged, dance with you to celebrate your wins, hold the space for your self-expression, love you until you learn to love yourself, and stand by your side every step of the way.
